J C "Pete" Johnson, beloved patriarch, born on August 30, 1935, in Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away on November 27, 2023. Known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and joyful whistling, Pete was a beacon of light to his family and friends. He was a gifted storyteller, always ready to share a funny joke or a fond memory that would bring a smile to anyone's face. His favorite quote holds a testament to his optimistic spirit, "Don't worry about it, what are you worrying for, it's not going to change anything."

Pete moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he was a dedicated worker at General Motors for 26 years, retiring in 1993. He was a true testament to the power of hard work and perseverance, often saying, "I've been living here a long time." He loved watching his beloved Cubs play baseball, taking road trips, and spending quality time with his family. His love for life was infectious, and his ability to brighten a room with his humor and charm will be dearly missed. He Confessed Jesus Christ as his Personal Lord and Savior at the age of 74 and became a member at Restoration Mountain Intl. Ministries in 2008 until his passing. He was known as
(Mr Pete, Poppa Pete and Pops)
