John "Tank" Debruce Jr

John "Tank" DeBruce. was born on July 13, 1963 in Chicago, IL to the proud parents of Leola & John DeBruce, Sr. John gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized under Prophet Kenny Conwell at Grace Miracle Temple. John was preceded in death by his father John Sr., grandparents; Mary Thomas, Tom and Ora DeBruce, five uncles and two aunts.
John graduated from Sexton Elementary School June 1979 and graduated from Hyde Park Career Academy in 1983, where he played football on the Varsity Team from 1979 to 1983. He enjoyed his years at Hyde Park and continued to support the "Indians" as an alumni. He avidly attended the annual alumni picnic, rain or shine. John worked as a Chef/Cook at many establishments: until his departure, on Friday, November 29, 2019.
