Mattie B. Kelly

Mattie Kelly was born August 27th, 1928 in Canton, Mississippi to the union of Lester and Everlean Lindsey, who both preceded her in death.
Mattie accepted Christ at an early age upon moving to Chicago, she attended the New Eclipse Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph White and Zebadiah White is currently the pastor.
In 1974 she met and married her husband archie Kelly and to this union three children were born Sherman Bradford and Karl.
Mattie worked as a cashier at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital after being there for many years and being well loved she had the pleasure of retiring. Mattie loved to cook, and enjoyed watching baseball and football games. Mattie loved her grandchildren so much that often she would travel with them on vacation.
Mattie was called to eternal rest in her home April 22nd, 2026 to reunite with her husband and her two children.
Mattie leaves to cherish her memory one son Sherman, one daughter in love. Tasha. 3 grandsons, Jordan Dorian, Karl Junior, one granddaughter Jalaya one great granddaughter and a and a host of other relatives and friends.
