Narsis Williams

–

Chicago, Illinois

Narsis (Street) Williams, affectionately known as Sis, was born on December 11, 1943 to the late Lemon and Luella Street. She was the second of five children born to this union, Juanita (Nita) Hayes, Lutitia (Tee) Byrd, Michael and Wardell Street, all preceded her in death.

Sis was a graduate of Englewood High School. Shortly after graduation, she sought to fulfill her desire to become a nurse and enrolled at the American Institute of Practical Nursing. Sis pivoted and married Eddie James Williams, who preceded her in death. She became a United States Postal Work as a Mail Processor, where she remained until she retired in 1999. It was there that her good nature and wonderful spirit beamed brightly. There she met and obtained a host of friends and bonus relatives. Sis was always the life of any social event. She had a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor.

Sis professed Christ at an early age and was initially baptized at Progressive Baptist Church. Later in life she re-dedicated herself to Christ and became a faithful and devoted member of the Apostolic Church of God where she remained until the pandemic forced her inside.

On Saturday, March 19th, Sis departed her earthly body to join her Heavenly Father. Here to cherish her fondly she leaves her nephew, Darrell E. (Donna) Hayes, her niece, Marla L. Byrd, her great-nieces, Darvonna A. Hayes, Kenya M. Smith and Nina D. Hayes, her great-nephew, Donavan C. Hayes, her brother-in-law, Mars S. (Lutitia) Byrd and a host of other relatives and friends.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, (2Cor. 5:8), we know you're now absent from pain and suffering and enjoying peace. We WILL FOREVER love you , Sis!
